Illinois DMV Point System

Illinois assigns points on your driver's record for many types of traffic violations. Depending on the number of points or convictions you receive in a 12-month period, your driver's license could be suspended. Your insurance company can also raise your rates.

At Cosley Law Office, we can often negotiate a reduction to an offense that would result in fewer points on your record or convince the court to place you under court supervision, which could result in the ticket being dismissed.
